Oostvaarders Lakes

This vast marshland and freshwater area lies meters below sea level. Many interesting species inhabit this National Park. In every season birds of many interesting species gather or breed here. Only the edges of the area can be officially visited. Various bird hides and observation hills give us the opportunity to enjoy this birdlife.

Whooper Swan, Bean Goose, White-fronted Goose, Barnacle Goose, Great White Egret, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Scaup, Goldeneye, Smew, Goosander, White-tailed Eagle, Hen Harrier, Goshawk, Rough-legged Buzzard, Merlin, Short-eared Owl, Twite, Snow Bunting, Redwing.
